Job Title: Senior Engineer Substation Lead (Remote Option)

Additional Information: The candidate should be able to provide an ID if the interview is requested. The candidate interviewing must be the same individual who will be assigned to work with our client.

Requirements:

• Experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects (5 years; 10 years for Principal Engineer role).
• Project engineering and/or project management experience.
• Valid drivers license.
• Travel required within North America.

Preferred:

• PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline.
• Bachelors degree in electrical Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.

For Principal Engineer:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering; Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering; Master of Science or MBA Degree.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all assigned substation projects from conception (Early Stage) through construction and commissioning (Execution).
• Work with the EarlyStage Project Manager to support the engineering requirements and scope of the Development Group.
• Provide training due diligence and technical oversight of external engineers of record (EOR) for all assigned substation projects.
• Secure engineering consulting resources and coordinate with other project stakeholders to develop and secure a substation site.
• Coordinate the engineering deliverables in support of FERC Order 1000 competitive request for proposals as well as the design and construction of awarded projects.
• Represent E&Cs internal and external interests on assigned projects including presentations/briefings on current progress issues and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management.
