ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Senior Engineer to join us in Bahrain.

Job description:

  • Construction Supervision & Plant Commissioning supervision, for a Desalination Plant in Bahrain.
  • In an EPC Contract model, supervising the EPC Contractor Works on site.
  • Duration: around 24 months.
  • He would be the Electro-mechanical Inspector Supervisor on-site, and the Construction Supervision Team leader on-site.
  • Not only supervise the construction according to the technical Specs and Quality of the electro-mechanical equipment. Also, it is desirable that he has experience in progress control and cost control (certifications) and a wide vision of a Desalination plant construction, not just a purely technical profile. He would be the EPC Construction Supervision team leader on site.
  • Additionally, should have experience in Commissioning desalination plants, SWRO or even BWRO.
  • Review & approve Contractor prepared Main Procedures such as QA/QC, Construction Procedures, Progress Controlling.
  • Daily monitoring of ongoing construction works.
  • Hold and attend regular site meetings with the Contractor and submit the MOM to the Owner.
  • Supervise inspection and testing (including acceptance tests, FAT/SAT) upon manufacture prior to shipment, upon delivery and during and after installation of the most critical/main electrical and mechanical equipment, material and plant supplied. Issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and SOR (Site observation Reports) when applicable as part of Quality checking when applicable.
  • Prepare Monthly Reports for the Owner.
  • Review and approve interim and final Payment Certificates from Contractor
  • Inform and assist the Owner in any claim/change order request from Contractor.
  • Also Supervise the Commissioning and Maintenance periods developed by the EPC Contractor.
  • Identify any Risks and issues at site and report the same to owner and Project manager.

ABOUT YOU

Apply if you have…

  • A university degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Senior, with at least 10 years’ experience.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Should be a generalist electro-mechanical engineer, with also some general knowledge about facilities (HVAC, FF) and piping.
  • Must have experience in construction supervision/management and particularly in desalination projects of at least 5 years.
  • Have experience in construction schedule controlling, and costs controlling.
  • Experience in Desalination Plants Commissioning and Maintenance.

Preferred:

  • Advanced mastery of MS PowerPoint and familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Driving license.
