Application Design Engineer Alabama

APPLICATION DESIGN ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client an established international manufacturing company is looking to add an Application Design Engineer to join their growing team in Jasper Alabama.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily responsibilities that contribute to the overall design of highpressure pump systems that are utilized in industrial mining and steel descaling applications
  
• Act as the owner of such processes possessing the ability to explain designs/drawings Bills of Materials P & ID/GA drawings etc. from an engineering standpoint to others who are involved in specific projects
  
• Oversee all projects ensuring proper planning updated/accurate procedures and forecasting appropriate timelines for customers
  
• Actively participate in weekly project meetings updating completion statuses and making adjustments where necessary
  
• Act as the liaison between the company and its clients to ensure timely project delivery/installation
  
• Collaborate with other team members providing engineering support to the sales service procurement and manufacturing teams on an as needed basis
  
• Ensure proper procurement of critical parts for project completion offering cost effective replacements and product improvements
  
• Create standard product offering procedures
  
• Effectively communicate necessary product changes to global sales and service teams
  
• Provide detailed pricing guidelines for system components to the sales team in order to accurately represent costs and drive sales
  
• Complete special projects when needed
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full time direct hire
  
• Minimal travel likely to customers
  
• $90000 $130000 annually depending on experience
  
• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  
• 5 years experience in a design or similar engineering department
  
• Hydraulic/mechanical engineering design experience required; rotating equipment preferred
  
• P.E. (Professional Engineer) Certification preferred
  
• SolidWorks/AutoCAD knowledge required
  
• Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  
• Strong organization skills and time management skills
  
• Extreme attention to detail
  
• Selfmotivated
