Job Description

Job Title: Assistant General Manager Operations

Location: CALA Scottsdale AZ

Salary: $70000/year up to 10% performancebased bonuses in the first year

Hours: 50 hours per week

With four new locations on the horizon next year we need a dynamic individual who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is passionate about elevating the guest experience.

Role Overview: As the Assistant General Manager Operations at CALA you are central to enhancing our reputation for outstanding hospitality. Your role is to lead our restaurants operations with a relentless focus on cultivating an environment that delights and retains guests through exceptional service and a personalized dining experience. This position not only demands oversight of operational efficiency but also a strategic approach to building a culture of hospitality that translates into lasting relationships with our clientele. You will oversee the AM Manager Banquet Manager Floor Support Manager and Server Department ensuring that each team member is a custodian of our hospitality ethos.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and enhance the restaurants floor operations ensuring the highest level of service and hospitality creating loyal returning clients.
  • Lead and mentor the AM Manager Banquet Manager Floor Support Manager and Server Department to ensure team cohesion and high operational standards.
  • Develop and execute training for all FOH staff focusing on advanced service techniques upselling and enhancing the dining experience to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to devise and implement strategies that boost revenue during offpeak times.
  • Conduct preshift meetings to inspire and set performance expectations focused on guest interaction and satisfaction.
  • Administer monthly tests and quizzes to elevate team knowledge and service skills.
  • Analyze customer feedback and online reviews to improve service quality continuously.
  • Oversee daily transaction adjustments including voids and comps maintaining meticulous accountability.
  • Perform monthly performance reviews of FOH staff and generate detailed analytics regarding floor operations and server efficiency for strategic review by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality with a strong track record of leading and inspiring a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies that enhance customer service and increase revenue especially during less busy periods.
  • Excellent analytical skills capable of interpreting data to improve service delivery and profitability.
  • Deep commitment to exceptional guest service and creating memorable dining experiences.
