Practice Manager Legal

As the Practice Manager youll be the linchpin connecting their vision with its execution. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors & CEO youll navigate a diverse and stimulating workload ensuring the seamless delivery of their legal services. From managing the finance department to overseeing regulatory compliance and everything in between youll be at the heart of their operational excellence.
Your days will be filled with a rich tapestry of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Steering the ship of the finance department and back office
Ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks like SRA and SARs
Orchestrating the renewal of insurance accreditation and practising certificates
Engaging in strategic negotiations with thirdparty suppliers
Crafting and refining organisational and performance systems

The ideal candidate brings:
Previous experience in a legal environment
A deep understanding of the Solicitor Accounts Rules and SRA Handbook
Prior experience as a COFA
Stellar communication skills both written and verbal
A talent for meeting deadlines with finesse
Strong IT proficiency

Managing Lexcel applications and internal training for compliance
Keeping policies and procedures up to date with regulatory guidelines
Maintaining online presence through website management
Coordinating with accountants for audits and financial reporting
Handling VAT returns payroll and other financial obligations
Overseeing insurance renewals and finance arrangements
Providing support and supervision to the accounts and reception teams
Facilitating staff training on software and systems
