HGV Mechanic

Position: HGV Mechanic

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team and manage our modern fleet of trucks and trailers

The Person:

• This role will require a professional individual who is a fully qualified HGV
• Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections of truck and trailer fleet.
• Carry out diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing
• Minor body repair works.
• Managing and updating Vehicle maintenance schedules planning and reporting through the workshop system Transzura.
• Liaise with the fleet manager on Vehicle progress and defects that require attention.
• Complete repairs to a high standard and effectively within timelines in accordance with manufacture procedures
• Maintain a clean and tidy workshop while adhering to all health and safety guidelines

Requirements:

• Fully Qualified and trained HGV Mechanic/Technician
• Have a minimum 3 years exp in the industry
• Possession of HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 License is an advantage
• Fluent in English
• Experience with refrigerated trailers an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
