We are currently seeking an experienced Site Subcontracting Administrator Manager for a massive project in Germany.
The Site Subcontracting Administration Manager oversees the procurement and contractual management of a project to convert a coalbased plant to a combined cycle power station in Heilbronn Germany.
This role involves strategic oversight of purchasing activities and contract negotiations ensuring alignment with legal standards and project objectives.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement of subcontracts services and bulk materials ensuring adherence to corporate policies safety environmental standards and German legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement plans in collaboration with project management to ensure timely and costeffective delivery.
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors securing advantageous terms and ensuring contractual compliance.
Detailed Duties:
- Manage the full cycle of procurement activities from initial RFQ to signing contracts and delivering materials onsite.
- Provide expert guidance on contract negotiations aligning with legal requirements and project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with project and construction managers to resolve subcontractor issues promptly. Conduct regular strategy meetings to review procurement progress and address potential issues
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills with substantial experience managing complex procurement and contractual scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in both English and German considered a strong advantage.
- Expert knowledge in contract law especially pertaining to construction energy and engineering projects in Germany.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a highpressure environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Management Law or a related field; advanced degree or legal qualifications in contract law highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management within the construction oil & gas or related sectors with a strong focus on contract management.
- Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP or JDE and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:
- This position is based onsite in Heilbronn Germany requiring the flexibility to travel as needed to support project demands
