SystemCloud Engineer

Role: System/Cloud Engineer

Work as an experienced cloud engineer to work with our engineering team to migrate various applications and ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure.

Level: Middle (at least 5 years of related experience)

Contract period: 1 year

Work Location: Ridgefield Park NJ (must be able to work onsite 3 day/wk currently but not permanently hybrid)

no C2C

Responsibilities

Migrate multitiered workloads from onprem to company cloud

Implement new workload/service using the companys private cloud

Support requirements gathering for migration/implementation

Test and implement cloudbased services to support ongoing cloud migration

Develop and maintain secure and reliable cloud infrastructure (backup monitoring and secure logging)

Provide support for security policies and procedures

Develop and maintain technical documentation

Troubleshoot technical issues

Requirements/Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in the field of cloud computing

Experience with onsite to cloud migration assessment and implementation

Worked and handson experience in cloud migration and a multicloud environment

Worked on data/DB migration

Knowledge of cloud computing technology (AWS Azure GCP)

Experience with networking compute infrastructure such as servers database firewall load balance

Knowledge of system monitoring capacity planning and understand architecture principles across infrastructure platform

Handson experience with administrator on variety of Linux/Windows systems

Handson experience with cluster configuration (Windows Linux)

Must have OS/DB level troubleshooting skill

Experience with information security practices and procedures

Documentation skills using MS Office products.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 30% of the time to meet client needs
