Job Description

This is a remote position.

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement process including sourcing suppliers negotiating contracts and purchasing goods and services to meet the organizations needs. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements identify costsaving opportunities and ensure timely delivery of highquality products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:

    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors based on quality price and delivery capabilities.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing payment terms and service level agreements.
    • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
  2. Procurement Process Management:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies policies and procedures to streamline the purchasing process.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure compliance with organizational policies and budgetary constraints.
    • Manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition to purchase order issuance receipt of goods/services and invoice processing.
  3. Cost Optimization and Savings:

    • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities to optimize costs improve efficiency and achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives.
    • Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay informed about industry trends market dynamics and best practices in procurement.
  4. Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Assess and mitigate procurementrelated risks such as supplier quality delivery delays and supply chain disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations standards and ethical practices in procurement activities.
  5. Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Foster positive relationships with suppliers to promote collaboration resolve disputes and address issues proactively.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers to convey expectations negotiate terms and resolve conflicts.
  6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyze procurement data to generate reports track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to management for decisionmaking purposes.
    • Use procurement software or tools to streamline processes automate tasks and enhance data visibility and accuracy.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g. CSCP CPSM) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain management roles preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices contract management principles and sourcing strategies.
  • Proficiency in procurement software ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional Information:

  • This position may require occasional travel for supplier visits conferences or training sessions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fastpaced environment.


High school diploma or GED One year of experience in a Virtual Assistant role Familiarity with latest workplace technologies, including VoIP, online calendars and desktop sharing Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word-processing program Excellent multitasking, time management and organizational skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Must have a PC and reliable Internet connection
