Horizon Controls Group is now hiring all levels of Automation Engineers to install new highly complex equipment including robotics into a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the designing implementing and validating automation systems for the new equipment to ensure optimal performance compliance with industry standards and safety.
- Work with equipment manufacturers and project teams to develop automation system design and requirements.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for the new equipment including PLCs (Programmable Logic Control) HMIs and SCADA systems.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to install commission and validate the new equipment and automation systems.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure automation systems operate as intended and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues related to automation systems and propose solutions to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to automation systems including design specifications user requirements test plans and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support and training for endusers including system administrators and operators.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in automation engineering with a focus on equipment installation in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledgeable on one or more of the following: DeltaV PLCs AVEVA PI Ignition
- Strong knowledge of automation systems including programming languages such as ladder logic structured text and function block diagram.
- Experience with robotics and other highly complex equipment and associated automation systems.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards including 21 CFR Part 11 GAMP 5 and ICH guidelines.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
BS Engineering (or equivalent experience) 8+ years working Automation experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (preferable in API/bulk manufacturing) Previous Pharmaceutical Automation Project experience including: Deriving S88 physical model from P&IDs Deriving software control strategies from PFDs and related process documents DeltaV DCS implementation exposure/experience Exceptional teamwork abilities Strong knowledge of GMP s, regulatory requirements and computer system validation principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
