Job Summary: Perform all aspects of respiratory care clinically and diagnostically that the Cardiopulmonary department provides such as adult ventilator care and critical care assessment EKGs general floor therapy working with Neopuff support of newborns arterial blood gas access Pulmonary Function Testing stress testing and Holter monitoring/scanning.

Essential Functions:

• Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.

Assumes responsibility for firstline supervision of Certified Therapists in the directors absence.

Performs and evaluates bedside spirometry and pulmonary function tests.

Performs arterial blood gas puncture.

Performs EKGs and Holter scanning.

Performs and evaluates EKG stress testing if trained.

Performs critical care ventilation and assessment.

Determines appropriateness of prescribed therapy and goals for the identified pathophysiological state.

Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.

Collects and evaluates additional pertinent clinical information by inspection palpation percussion auscultation and patient interview.

• 2 years of RRT Required
• NBRC Required
• Must have an active MI license at the time of submission
• Please note the rotating low census. So means if there were to be a low census it would rotate between the permanent employees and the contract staff.
• Prior travel experience Preferred
• ACLS Preferred

• BLS (AHA)
• NBRC

• Michigan
