Sr Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a detailoriented professional with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records analyzing financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthend and yearend close processes including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and review journal entries ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Assist with audits and provide necessary support to auditors
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on accounting principles and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
• 35 years of experience in accounting or related field
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP NetSuite Famous) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
