About the Role:

Our esteemed client is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the critical position of Maintenance Fitter/Team Leader. The role involves providing highquality engineering and maintenance services to the companys production facility ensuring critical plant reliability to support consistent highquality product delivery to customers. The position is in Luscombe QLD Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate prioritise and schedule work for yourself and other fitters on both day and night shifts.
  
• Focus on plant operation to meet or exceed line efficiency performance and quality targets using lean manufacturing principles.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensure followup actions occur.
  Collaborate with the operations manager and production team to improve productivity and make necessary improvements to production equipment and facilities.
• Conduct PM plans and work orders within the maintenance system ensuring correct equipment operation to minimize downtime.
  
• Organise associated trades obtain quotes and handle parts/material ordering as required.
  
• Provide monthly KPI reporting to management and maintain records for food safety and quality assurance programs.
  

Requirements

Key Requirements:

• Strong leadership experience with demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement and continuous improvement.
  
• Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities with a proactive and positive attitude.
  
• Trade qualification as a Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter with 35 years experience in the baking industry or related food manufacturing.
  
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety codes of practice and adherence to safety practices.
  
• Experience in breakdown faultfinding and line startup in a food manufacturing environment.
  
• Proficiency in using mills lathes welding (TIG/MIG) forklift/EWP license considered an advantage.
