Quality Engineer

Overview:

• Manage and monitor the testing inspecting and auditing of processes.
• To ensure we are maintaining and exceeding our customers quality requirements.
• QE will work with and coordinate with Engineering Production and Inspection Departments to collect data analyze customer data and resolve supplier issues.
• QE will work to manage PPAP submissions and statistical data collection and reporting according to process certification.
• Not only find the defects but also find the cause of the defect and develop a solution.
• The goal is to continually improve our quality and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of AS9100 AS1300 and ISO requirements and organized quality manual procedures quality forms.
• Contract Review per customer requirement and managed all work orders & POs (Purchase orders) internal & external
• Inspection layouts.
• GD&T
• Capability to read CMM reports from PCDMIS.
• Leads the development inspection plans methods & FAI process AS9102 to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
• PPAP plan approval.
• Leading teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and nonconformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
• Key elements of Quality operational plans and initiatives with a direct impact on reducing nonconformities and ensuring quality standards are in effect.
• Develops and leads implementation of solutions to nonconformities satisfied quality issues raised by suppliers and customers.
• Supplier survey assessment source approval process and subtier source inspection.
• Assist in managing quality awareness.
• Computer knowledge of general Microsoft office Minitab and IDEA GEN (Inspection Expert).
• Maintain Product Quality through Inspection and development of inspection methodologies to assure product conform to quality requirement.
• Knowledge of Pratt & Whitney General Electric and Sikorsky quality requirements.
• Working in teams and provide technical support to inspectors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be able to read engineering drawing
• Must have excellent computer skills
• Understanding statistics
• Six Sigma Green belt
• Use inspection gauges

Preferred Qualification:

• AS13001
• DQR SAC PWA and GE
