*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of the Federal Client Headquarters in Woodlawn MD
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite at least 2 days a week.

Position Description:
- Derive business processes analyze user needs assist in requirements definition design browserbased interfaces and design and conduct usability testing
- Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders
- Facilitate customer discovery sessions
- Create Conceptual Models Journey Maps Personas and Scenarios of Use
- Create and refine screen prototypes
- Document user requirements screen designs and design recommendations
Key Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of usercentered design (UCD) principles to include documenting user requirements and user needs (and pain points)
- Interaction/Interface design experience utilizing usercentered methods

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree with 7 years of experience
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
- Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in UserCentered Methods and User Analysis
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)
These skills will help you succeed in this position:
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
- Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in UserCentered Methods and User Analysis
- Minimum of 6 years of experience documenting user requirements screen designs and design recommendations
- Minimum of 4 year of experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal
- settings
- Minimum of 4 year of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings
- Must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)
Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:
- Experience using Axure RP prototyping software
- Experience with AdobeXD prototyping software
- Experience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms
- Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology
- Understanding of responsive design
- Prior experience supporting government agencies
- Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design
- Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly)
Staff resource skillsets should include: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates. Active IRS MBI clearance. A minimum of 3 8* years collective developing applications in JAVA. Hibernate JAVA on the mainframe Experience with Json and Annotation Prior experience working on Agile teams. Spring Batch (experience with scaling would be a plus) IRS/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning) Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team Professional skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals
