Functional Safety Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting safety assessments and analyses to identify potential hazards and risks
• Developing safety requirements and ensuring their implementation throughout the product development lifecycle
• Performing system and software safety analysis and verification
• Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to integrate safetyrelated features into product designs
• Evaluating and enhancing existing safety processes and methodologies
• Participating in safety reviews and audits to ensure regulatory compliance
• Creating safety documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Providing expertise and guidance on safety standards and best practices
• Supporting project management activities related to functional safety
• Leading safety training and awareness programs for project teams

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in functional safety engineering within the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of safety standards such as ISO 26262
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools
• Experience in conducting fault analysis and implementing safety measures
• Familiarity with software tools for safety analysis and verification
• Good understanding of system architecture and safety mechanisms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Project management experience in a safetycritical environment
• Ability to interpret and apply complex safety requirements
• Certification in functional safety (e.g. FS Engineer) is a plus
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
• Uptodate knowledge of industry trends and developments in functional safety
• Problemsolving skills and a proactive mindset
