We are a recruitment company based in Colombo Sri Lanka. Our client is a Textile manufacturing company based in Katunayake having more than 1300 staff members in both Executive and Non Executive grades. Below is is the summery of the Job Description.

Position Title: Head of Human Resources and Administration

Location: Katunayake

Reports to: Managing Director

Position Overview:

The Head of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organization. They will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy while also leading and managing the HR team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development: Develop HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  2. Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment and selection process including sourcing interviewing and hiring candidates.
  3. Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
  4. Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems and processes to drive employee performance and development.
  5. Training and Development: Identify training and development needs within the organization and develop programs to address them.
  6. Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations and maintain uptodate knowledge of HR best practices.
  8. HR Administration: Oversee HR administration tasks including payroll benefits administration and HRIS management.
  9. Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  10. Leadership Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR management roles preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced environment.
