Salary: $72000.00 to $106000.00

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs highquality computerized axial tomography procedures within the scope of state licensure at a technical and professional level that does not require direct supervision. Performs appropriate patient evaluation and uses proper technical factors for diagnostic image production.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Diagnostic Imaging teams at the clients Health Services use stateoftheart imaging technology while providing healthcare teams with the information needed for a fast accurate diagnosis. Imaging services include Xray Fluoroscopy Bone Density CT Scan Digital Mammography MRI Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound services. We now offer PETCT scans the latest in diagnostic imaging technology and one of the most powerful imaging tools that physicians can use to help diagnose and treat patients with cancer and other diagnoses.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Current ARRT RT(R) credential required. If registryeligible a credential within six (6) months of hire is required.
• Current ARRT (CT) credential within one (1) year of hire required.
• A current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology is required. If a new graduate a temporary license upon hire and a permanent license within six (6) months of hire are required.
• Healthcare Provider BLS required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Communication/Medical Terminology: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues exchange information between team members and tactfully discuss issues. Knowledge of medical records procedures and terminology.
• Confidentiality/Health Information Technology: Knowledge of and ability to comply with State and Federal (HIPAA) laws about the confidentiality of protected health information and how it applies to health information technology.
• Customer Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Safety/Mechanical: Knowledge of safety practices and procedures as well as knowledge of equipment and systems and the ability to promote safe and secure operations.
• Stress Management/Problem Solving/Time Management: Ability to maintain patience and composure in highstress/difficult situations. Ability to organize plan and prioritize work to be completed within required time frames and to follow up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fastpaced environments.
