The main function of a data analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database. Job Responsibilities:
- Test programs or databases correct errors and make necessary modifications.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills problemsolving skills customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of database management software.
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
Key Projects:
- Coordinate changes to a computer database.
- Test and implement the database.
- Interfacing with the crossfunctional team.
- Provide targeted data sets / augment data sets.
- Market strategy.
- Proactive in insights generation.
- Optimization and utilization of the data.
- Proactive in reaching out to the crossfunctional team.
Must haves:
- Marketing sales experience business teams.
- Strong Business acumen generate insights that will have an impact on sales; data analyst generating revenue.
- Experience working with teams in different time zones.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings and participate in teambuilding efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions peer reviews etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OPWiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
