Position Description

The companys Global Manufacturing Organisation seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer to join the Decarbonisation and Sustainability Division focusing on environmental protection and performance.

The ideal candidate must be wellversed in ISO14001 Environmental Management System possess extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and standards and have experience in refining environmental performance assessment monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities include identifying environmental issues providing solutions conducting waste minimization assessments and advising on waste handling and disposal. Additionally expertise in establishing environmental business plans emissions baseline and setting targets for key performance indicators such as flaring and emissions to marine environments is essential.

Candidates with experience in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management data analytics and strong leadership skills to coordinate environmental teams are preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in oil and gas refineries and petrochemicals.
  • Familiarity with global and governmental environmental policies regulations and standards.
  • Preferably EPI/QEP certified.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Experience in developing decarbonization roadmaps and GHG emission management.
  • Excellent computer and presentation skills.
  • Effective management and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in English both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor facility operations to ensure compliance with environmental protection policies and standards.
  • Identify and resolve environmental issues to mitigate risks and improve regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and provide recommendations.
  • Develop and implement GHG management programs including data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct internal GHG audits and support thirdparty audits.
  • Monitor waste disposal and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Establish environmental KPIs and targets aligned with company policies.
  • Develop and deploy environmental management systems in line with ISO 14001.
  • Lead emissions monitoring and reduction initiatives.
  • Stay updated on international and regional regulations and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
  • Organize technical workshops and deliver training sessions.
