The purpose of this role is to support the successful delivery ofBAE Systems contractual Training responsibilities across the TyphoonAvailability Service Operation at Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB), in Qatar.The role is responsible for monitoring and reporting againstcontractual training performance and assisting with the establishment of Project Control procedures, methods andsystems, ensuring their appropriate application.Theincumbent will be required to gather, synthesise & integrate information relating toperformance (cost, resources and outputs), monitor and report progress againstplans, identify trends, analyse and interpret data and information to ensureall data and information is accurate, generate and publish regular reports,including contract review packs, with recommendations to senior managers.The role also oversee high priority orspecial projects as directed; responsible for providing analysis, guidance anddirection within areas of expertise. This position will anticipate escalateand solve management and business problems independently.Core Activity and ResponsibilitiesContractedTraining Delivery: Define anddeliver contracted training solutions, whilst maximising operational efficiencyand minimising costs; Co-ordinate,control and report all training pipeline progression and performance indicators/metrics to monitor BAE Systems contractual training performance; Act as the keyinterface with Qatari customer for all contractual training requirements anddeliverables; Ensure that the coordinated trainingprogramme aligns to the customer BFP/R (GFx) Manpower commitments to supportoperational delivery. Co-ordinate andcontrol of contractual scope change requirements; Ensure that allstakeholders, in particular the customer community, are appropriately briefedand understand the contractual training service; Support to theAccountable Training Manager in ensuring compliance to the QAF Aviation Regulations; Provide PM support to theTyphoon Training Facility (TTF) Operation; Manage and reportcompliance to mandated Aircraft Maintenance Training and BAE SystemsOperational Framework requirements.ProjectManagement & Control: Consolidate andsynthesise complex programme information from both internal and externalstakeholders, including, but not limited to:o Responsible for theproject management of the Dukhan AFB Operation, delivering all on-basereporting and control of costs;o Prepare inputs for theContract Status Reports (CSR);o Review and ratify riskand opportunity provisions;o Generate and maintainintegrated programme schedules;o Support reviewsincluding but not limited to PDRs, QCRs, QBRs, risk & opportunity, ChangeControl Boards, Business Operations and customer PRMs;Additionalresponsibilities / Activities: Internal andexternal meeting coordination and Customer Relationship management Ensure compliance with the mandated BAESystems Governance Framework, including, but not limited to; Life Cycle Management(LCM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) Incident Management (IM), Gifts& Hospitality (G&H), Responsible Document Record Management (RDRM),Export Control, SHE, et al.Requirements Functional Knowledge & Experience: Experienced andin-depth Project Management & Control knowledge and techniques in anOperational Aircraft Maintenance training environment is preferred; High level ofMS Office knowledge and application; ProgrammeReporting experience; Understandingand appreciation of operating in a customer-focused organisation in the MiddleEast; Commercial andContractual Awareness; PurchasingProcess and Export control awareness; Contract StatusReporting (CSRs).Business Expertise: Understandingand appreciation of each function operating within an aircraft maintenanceoperational Availability Service and mandated training requirements; Appreciation ofProject Management practises, managing cost, time and quality; Understandingof contract management; Roles typicallyrequire a university degree, or an extensive amount of practical knowledgegained through experience; Proficientlevel of English, written & verbal.Problem Solving: High problemsolving competencies required to address complex issues around aircraftoperations and maintenance; Ability torecognise and escalate issues in a timely manner.Nature of Impact: Contractual &Business performance - by influencing decisions through advice and counsel; Companyreputation and growth of business - through the effectiveness of its ProjectManagement practices.Area of Impact: Impacts indirectlyon the Internal Business Plan achievement for the line of business or project,having responsibility for aspects of Project Management processes.Interpersonal Skills: Diplomacyskills required in order to work across business boundaries to achieve optimumsolutions; Participation innegotiations and influence operational managers, primarily internally at alllevels; Ability toinfluence customers and motivate local team
