WHO ARE WE

Perspectives has pioneered the work on adaptation metrics more than 10 years ago with the development of the Saved Health SavedWealth approach a concrete methodology for assessing adaptation benefits of coastal protection options which has also been applied in different sectors. Since then Perspectives developed a wide range of services to support the achievement of the Global Goal on adaptation of the Paris Agreement: metrics and methodologies for estimating adaptation benefits of project interventions adaptation policy instruments evaluations adaptation finance and climate risk assessment tools

We are looking for a highly motivated analytical and flexible Analyst or Junior Consultant (depends on qualification) with a strong dedication to working in international consulting and adaptation to climate change.

YOUR ROLE IN SHORT

An inspiring opportunity to actively contribute to the success of our projects and grow your project management skills. You will develop your understanding of innovative ways to scale up the implementation of effective adaptation actions worldwide. Through frequent interaction with our international team based in Hamburg (Germany) Freiburg (Germany) and Valencia (Spain) you will develop your multicultural communication and coordination abilities.

YOUR TASKS

• Research and analysis of information and data from authoritative sources for studies and advisory services particularly from adaptation projects in different sectors and countries
• Support our Consultants in their project management particularly for our adaptationrelated projects
• Elaboration of Excelbased calculations and PowerPoint presentations
• Support to organizational administrative outreach and marketing tasks
• Contributions to business development tasks (e.g. proposal development)

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor completed (Analyst)
• Master completed and first professional experience in adaptation related projects (Junior Consultant)
• Strong analytical skills and a passion to express ideas in writing
• Detailoriented and committed to deliver highquality outputs
• Desire to work on sustainable development and climate change topics
• High motivation for indepth analysis and evaluation of adaptation projects
• Ability to deal with adhoc requests in limited time and under pressure
• Enjoy working autonomously as well as within an international team and to proactively communicate with colleagues
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word
• Working proficiency in English is a must; French and/or Spanish and/or German writing and speaking skills are considered a plus
• An EU work permit is a prerequisite for this role
