Catering Assistant

We are currently hiring a Catering Assistant to support our catering operations and assist with various tasks in the kitchen and at events. The Catering Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of catering services from food preparation to setup and cleanup.

Tasks

• Assist with food preparation including chopping vegetables marinating meats and assembling dishes under the guidance of the chef.
• Set up catering equipment tables and serving stations at event venues according to specifications.
• Serve food and beverages to guests at events ensuring high standards of presentation and customer service.
• Monitor food and beverage supplies during events and replenish as needed.
• Assist with cleanup tasks including washing dishes clearing tables and disposing of trash.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth operation of catering services.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to clients and guests addressing any questions or concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and service techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and customerfocused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team following instructions and taking initiative as needed.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings weekends and holidays as required.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the catering industry.
