Were seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Oakland California. As a vital part of our organization you will play a crucial role in protecting our systems networks and data from cyber threats. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular vulnerability assessments penetration testing and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Monitor and analyze security incidents conduct investigations and provide timely response and resolution.
• Participate in incident response exercises and contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response procedures.
• Configure and maintain security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and antivirus software.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders on cybersecurityrelated matters.
• Stay uptodate with the latest cybersecurity trends threats and technologies to proactively address emerging risks.
• Conduct security awareness training and workshops for staff to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies procedures and best practices to safeguard infrastructure and sensitive information.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into the design development and maintenance of systems and applications.
• Assist in compliance efforts with relevant regulations and standards such as PCI DSS HIPAA and NIST.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field.
• Proven experience 45 years working in a cybersecurity role preferably in a transportation or critical infrastructure environment. Generalist Security IoT/OT Security NIST CISA background.
• Extensive experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance) Office 365 Security VSX and Endpoint Security. Indepth knowledge of cybersecurity principles practices technologies and standards.
• Handson experience with security tools such as SIEM IDS/IPS antivirus and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or CompTIA Security are preferred.
• Experience with network and system administration including Linux and Windows environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearances as required by Client.
