Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has openings for a Radiology Technologist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Juneau AK 99801

Assignment Start Date: 3/29/2024

13 weeks Days 8hour shift 40 hours guaranteed weekly

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform radiographic exams including Computed Tomography (CT) Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) and work independently in performing these modalities. Collaborate with radiologists providers and other technologists to improve patient care.
  • Provides oncall services on a rotational basis. Apply previous computer experience to new applications for imaging and record keeping.
  • May be required to travel to provide services at clinics throughout the Consortium.
  • Understand that inadequate communication with the patient provider and radiologist can adversely affect patient health. Creatively works with other SEARHC staff to solve problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must provide radiographic examination within the department and other areas of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.
  • Maintains patient records and files.
  • Assumes responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.
  • Pursues continuing education.
  • Transfers patients to and from radiology.
  • In the absence of a supervisor one can assume responsibility for the department.
  • Rotates shifts as required.
  • Performs ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Follows policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration
  • Assists in general hygiene of department and self.
  • Should be able to work well in situations of stress.
  • Must be willing and able to take calls and report to work within 30 minutes.
  • Must maintain competency in licensed modality.
  • Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
  • Competent in sterile technique.
  • Competent in OR procedures and CArm operation.
  • Alaska fluoroscopy certified or willing to obtain within 90 days.

Computed Tomography:

  • Responsible for care of equipment in this area.
  • Responsible for record maintenance.
  • Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
  • Active part in the preparation of procedures in this area.
  • Consult with referring physicians.
  • Able to perform venipuncture or willing to be trained within the first 90 days.
  • Follow standard precautions procedure.
  • Alter routine protocols to provide quality care to pediatric adolescent and geriatric patients.
  • Change contrast levels per age group.
  • Set up and run automatic injector.
  • Familiar with contraindications of contract.
  • Competent in teleradiology transmission.
  • Competent in sterile technique.
  • Actively assists in supply inventory and ordering.
  • Daily/Weekly QC

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • 3 years of radiologic technologist experience is required

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

  • Current ARRT in Radiography
  • Current ARRT in Computed Tomography

EMR System: Cerner experience preferred

Shift: ***Primary Days Some shared call/discussed at interview***

COVID Requirements: Must have proof of FLU and COVID19 vaccinations(including boosters). No exemptions.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Tech I ARRT or ARDMS in one modality (i.e. ARRT general radiography or ARDMS one category)
  • Tech II ARRT (CT MR MG NM) or ARDMS /ARDMS categories (OB/GYN Abd) certified in two modalities.
  • Tech III ARRT (CT MR MG NM) or ARDMS certified in three modalities modalities/ARDMS categories (RVT or RDCS)
  • Tech IV ARRT (CT MR MG NM) or ARDMS certified in four modalities modalities/ARDMS categories (RVT or RDCS)
