Project Development Specialist

Hiring Company: FDC Utilities Inc.

• Make preparatory engagements information gathering and intelligence with prospective partners.
• Coordinate with concerned internal functional groups affiliates/subsidiaries potential partners developers consultants/contractors oversight government agencies and other stakeholders in connection with predevelopment activities for potential projects such as: submission monitoring and followups with government agencies for applications (SEOC BOI NWRB NCIP etc).
• Study/analyze data and available information to provide rational assessment and conduct due diligence for potential business opportunities.
• Prepare documentary requirements including coordination with concerned functional groups and JV/affiliate companies in relation to securing permits from government agencies required during the predevelopment phase of projects as well as comply with postcondition and reportorial requirements.
• Develop tariff design based on reasonable and acceptable industry assumptions previously approved rates of competitors and ERC allowed margins.
• Prepare simulation of financial models and conduct sensitivity analysis to determine project viability.
• Provide risk assessment and conduct rate impact analysis.
• Provide support to the department in establishing proposals for government biddings the competitive selection process for new power project development and/or power requirements of distribution utilities and service contract applications.
• Monitor movements in electricity prices and determine industry players technical profile and applicable rates to come up with techniques and proposals that will reinforce competitive advantage for the company.
• Draft project profiles business plans information memorandum and correspondences required in securing government permits/endorsements and submission for partners/investors and bank financing in connection with the exploration and development of potential projects.
• Identify potential business opportunities and monitor regulatory changes in the industry to assess their impact on the business.
• Prepare annual plan and budget of the department based on project activities and planned programs.
• Provide inputs and technical support to the companys affiliates retail electricity supply unit and potential contestable customers on energyrelated concerns.
• Assist the Business Development Manager and VP for Business Development in driving special projects requested by Management.
• Represent the group or support official(s) in conferences meetings and dialogues with officials from various government agencies.
• Perform other functions related to project development/corporate planning as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Specifications:

• Must have a bachelors degree in management Engineering: Civil Mechanical Electrical ECE Economics
• Has previous work experience/familiar in the Power Industry preferably in renewable energy. Has a background in financial modeling tariff design and project valuation.
• Experience in embedded projects regulatory agencies EC/DU corporate planning is an advantage.
