Principal Information Security Architect

Our client a leading health system is seeking a dedicated Information Assurance Professional to join their team. This pivotal role focuses on the enhancement implementation and advancement of the organizations information assurance program ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and adherence to specific security policies. The ideal candidate will safeguard information assets through the utilization of advanced solutions and security best practices. Additionally this position demands proactive involvement in the design and development of information security architecture emphasizing data confidentiality integrity and availability in line with the organizations strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of security measures aligning with compliance requirements and organizational policies.
• Engage in the continuous improvement of the information assurance program ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
• Play a key role in the architectural design and development efforts concerning information security focusing on data protection strategies.
• Collaborate with various functional leaders on broad technical initiatives requiring a deep domain knowledge in multiple specialized architecture areas.
• Apply expertise in information security tools best practices and compliance requirements affecting organizational security including HIPAA and HITECH.

Education and Certification:

• A Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Information TechnologySecurity or a related field is required. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Certifications such as CISSP HCISPP or MCSE are required within one year of hire.

Experience:

• At least 8 years of relevant recent experience is necessary.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Profound knowledge of compliance with security regulations and healthcare laws.
• Experience in operating an information security program based on HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies impacting information security.
• Competence in managing an effective ethics and compliance program.
• Understanding of various disciplines including business planning clinical areas and information technology.
• Indepth knowledge of NIST cybersecurity standards and their application.
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills are essential.
• Advanced competency in office software preferably Microsoft Suite.
• Leadership skills with the ability to communicate vision drive change and support organizational success.

Job Details:
