Printer Command Languages (PCL) Engineer / Embedded Engineer

Plano TX (3 days WFO 2 days WFH)

Need candidate onsite from day 1

W2 only

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop embedded software solutions for printers and related devices with a strong emphasis on PCL standards.
2. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including hardware engineers firmware developers and QA engineers to ensure seamless integration of PCL functionality.
3. Analyze and interpret PCL specifications and requirements to design efficient and reliable software solutions.
4. Implement PCL features and functionality into embedded systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
5. Debug troubleshoot and optimize embedded software to ensure high performance and reliability.
6. Conduct thorough testing and validation of PCL implementations including unit testing and integration testing.
7. Document design specifications code and test procedures to facilitate collaboration and ensure maintainability.
8. Stay updated on emerging technologies standards and best practices related to embedded systems and PCL.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in embedded software development with a focus on Printer Command Languages (PCL).
3. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development such as C/C.
4. Strong understanding of printer hardware architecture and peripherals.
5. Familiarity with PCL specifications and standards including PCL 5 and PCL 6.
6. Experience with software development tools and environments for embedded systems.
7. Excellent problemsolving and debugging skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
9. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
10. Note: Strong experience with Java / oracle would be an added advantage
