Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide services at correctional facilities within the State of Colorado. The ideal candidates will provide professional mental health services to inmates to include formal and informal mental health evaluations diagnostic assessments and clinical interventions.

Requirements:
Active CO license

Responsibilities:
Provide mental health care to inmates with mental illness intellectual and developmental disabilities and those at high risk for suicide and self injury.
Develop mental health treatment plans to serve as the basis for treatment.
Provide individual and group therapy.
Provide care to inmates with moderate to high mental health treatment needs.
Perform routine mental health assessments and interviews to determine progress.
Update diagnosis and psychiatric needs levels.
Refer inmates to psychology for more complex psychological assessment.
Provide information to psychiatry to include client history previous diagnoses and alternative treatment available.
Assures both emergency and nonemergency transfer for inmates experiencing acute mental health crisis.
Render clinical direction to nonclinical staff in mental health care and treatment of inmates.
Assures continuity of care for inmates by making appropriate referral and providing necessary information and documentation for transition to receiving units.
Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Work effectively with fellow medical staff and treatment team members.
Any other duties as assigned.
