Paymedia LLC in East Hanover NJ is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist to perform payroll processing and provide excellent customer support. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAYROLL SPECIALIST
As a Payroll Specialist you answer phone calls and emails from customers concerning their payroll issues such as garnishments calculation direct deposit proper tax setup etc. In addition you provide HR support on timekeeping software by using your understanding of overtime rules work weeks and paidtimeoff plans. Using discernment you recognize when support requests require escalation to the director the director of information technology (IT) the accounting department or senior management. Always eager to improve yourself you participate in continuous professional development. You find great satisfaction in helping our customers get the full benefit from what our company and HCM system has to offer!



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Experience in payroll HR and customer support
Strong computer aptitude and expertise with Microsoft Office Products specifically Outlook Excel and Word
A bachelors degree or equivalent is preferred but not required. A certified payroll professional (CPP) certification fundamental payroll certification (FPC) or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification is preferred but not required. Experience with human capital management (HCM) platforms is preferred but not required. Do you have excellent communication skills both verbal and written Are you willing to learn and become proficient in new methods and technologies Do you have good customer service and problem resolution skills Can you keep a calm and positive attitude in a fastpaced work environment If yes you might just be perfect for this full or parttime position!
