Functions

1. Deep diving into software firmware and hardware components to understand their architecture functionality and communication protocols.
2. Analyzing assembly language machine code and source code to decipher complex algorithms uncover hidden features and identify security flaws.
3. Specializing in identifying vulnerabilities unique to embedded systems including buffer overflows stack vulnerabilities and memory leaks.
4. Utilizing advanced development/debugging tools such as C compilers linkers incircuit debuggers and logic analyzers.
5. Documenting reverse engineering efforts and results.
6. Working both independently and collaboratively within a team to accomplish tasks effectively.

Requirements

1. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Strong expertise in embedded C programming.
3. Proficiency in one or more assembly languages.
4. Familiarity with embedded systems architecture microcontrollers and realtime operating systems.
5. Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques including IDA Pro Ghidra and JTAG debugging.
6. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions.
7. Some specific specialties (masters degree/certification)
