Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate lighting equipment for all performances and events onboard the cruise ship

Ensure all lighting equipment is in good working condition and make necessary repairs or replacements as needed

Work closely with the Stage Manager and other technical crew members to ensure the smooth execution of performances

Create and maintain lighting cues for each production following the direction of the Lighting Designer

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during performances

Maintain an organized inventory of all lighting equipment and supplies

Assist with the loadin and loadout of lighting equipment during port calls and crew changeovers

Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with lighting equipment

Train and supervise new lighting crew members as needed


Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Light Technician in a live entertainment setting

Strong technical knowledge of lighting equipment and systems

Proficiency in operating lighting consoles and software such as GrandMA ETC or Avolites

Ability to work in a fastpaced and everchanging environment

Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed

Physically able to lift and carry heavy equipment and work at heights
