Job Description

Job Title: Linux Ubuntu Administrator

Location: Bangalore Chennai

Type of Employment: Full Time

Experience: 5 Years

Notice Period: Immediate or Less than 30 Days

Level of Support: 8 x 5 (Australia Timezone)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Linux Ubuntu Administrator to join our team on a fulltime basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and can commence immediately or within a notice period of fewer than 30 days. This position is available in both Bangalore and Chennai.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain Linux systems specifically Canonical Ubuntu versions 20 22 and 23.
  2. Provide support for operating system break fix issues resolving them promptly and efficiently.
  3. Monitor system performance and ensure the stability security and availability of Linuxbased environments.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve systemrelated issues including but not limited to networking storage and software configuration.
  5. Implement and maintain system configurations security policies and software installations.
  6. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize system performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  7. Document system configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in administering Linux systems with a focus on Canonical Ubuntu.
  2. Strong understanding of Linux system internals including kernel file systems and networking.
  3. Experience with troubleshooting and resolving operating system break fix issues.
  4. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
  5. Knowledge of system monitoring and performance optimization techniques.
  6. Ability to implement and maintain system configurations security policies and software installations.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Linux administration (e.g. LPIC RHCSA) is preferred.

Additional Requirement:

  • Availability to work during Australian timings (Morning 3:00 AM IST to Afternoon 01:00 PM IST) with flexibility to extend working hours during critical activities.
  • Attractive shift allowance will be provided for Australian shifting.
