Lead CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to function at the highest level of a staff technologistEscalates/responds to patient care concern. Reports issues to senior leadership as appropriate.Provides supervisory coverage for their area in the absence of the Manager.Provides direction to Imaging technical andsupport staff to ensure smooth and compliant operation of assigned area. Worksclosely and in concert with several different departments to achieve maximumproductivity with efficient and safe patient throughput while maintainingoptimal customer and patient/family satisfaction. Keeps abreast of newdevelopments within CT as well as imaging sciences in general. Considered asubject matter expert in relation to CT workflows.
- Adjusts equipment and determines proper imaging techniques in order to produce images of the highest quality. Reviews data for accuracy troubleshoots problems as well as discrepancies and reports to all vested parties.
- Oversees daily operations with accountability for the professional conduct and technical performance of personnel. Counsels and directs personnel as needed.
- Serves as a clinical consultant to CT staff providing real time guidance to ensure high quality imaging and patient safety guidelines are met.
- Assists in assignment scheduling of personnel.
- Manages inventory and compliance of all CT equipment. When appropriate completes the daily calibration of imaging equipment as guided by manufactures and Joint Commission standards.
- Escalates and responds to patient care concern. Reports issues to senior leadership as appropriate.
Requirements:
Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position)
Two (2) Years Experience at least 6 months as a lead
Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
Preferred:
Injectioncertification preferredmust be willing to complete during orientation process.
Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
Soft Skills Required:
Effective written and verbal communication skills
A patient andcompassionate disposition.
Team player whocan maintain a cohesive working environment.
