Job Description

Our client a vertically integrated developer owner & operator of niche commercial real estate (CRE) assets seeks a VP of Operations with 710 years experience ideally in manufactured housing communities to join their growing team.

The VP of Operations is responsible for the operational oversight of a portfolio of 40 manufactured housing properties across 12 states including the leadership & direction of a team including district managers and onsite property managers.

The ideal
VP of Operations candidate has experience creating & maintaining property budgets training top down throughout the organization on operational best practices establishing positive relationships through effective communication and thinks like an owner .

This role is primarily based in the firms Orlando office and will include a limited amount of travel to portfolio assets in markets across the country.

A day in the life of a successful
VP of Operations includes but is not limited to:


  • Collaborating with field operations creating and streamlining vital operational activities and ensuring teams perform tasks per established expectations

  • Reviewing and regularly analyzing department data including financials performance and workorder data and metrics relating to programs and operations

  • Providing support to the community staff with processing of move ins move outs change of ownerships s home sales and various other transactions

  • Assisting in the leadership and strategic direction of the organization taking on critical operational tasks

  • Hiring training supervising and mentoring team fostering an environment of growth and efficiency

  • Overseeing system management and collaborating with internal and external resources to ensure operational efficiency

  • Ensuring compliance with local and federal business laws

  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Requirements

The qualified VP of Operations possesses the following characteristics experience & qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum experience in manufactured housing community property management or operations and 5 years supervisory experience in a customer service field is preferred


  • Associate or bachelor s degree preferred

  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations


  • Flexibility to travel on occasion to visit communities for training opportunities and meetings; extensive travel is neither required nor anticipated

  • Rent Manager software experience preferred; proficient in MS Word Excel Outlook Adobe & PowerPoint and general internet research & computer skills

  • Real Estate License preferred; CRRP or CSM designation preferred

  • Valid Driver s License and Insured; Clean background check

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills a high degree of organization and capable of multitasking and managing multiple competing priorities


  • Problemsolving mentality excellent leadership skills and adept at collaborating with others

  • Willingness to achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents; completes training to comply with new or existing laws

This is an indoor position predominately working in the office environment or remotely as applicable.
