Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified associate with at least six years of strong health care transactional experience to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic toptier health care practice renowned for its integrated professional services approach. We are ranked nationally in Chambers with Band 1 and Band 2 rankings in New York and California and additional Tier 1 and Tier 2 rankings in the Legal 500.

Our health care transactions and regulatory team has been directly involved in many of the largest and most sophisticated health care transactions involving a wide variety of deal structures and participants across the industry.

We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in health care transactional matters including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions affiliations joint venture transactions and private equity deals. Experience with health industry contracting state licensure and corporate governance is preferred. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated regulatory experience in the areas of fraud and abuse state licensure corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules managed care and health care antitrust.

Our Health Care practice is uniquely multidisciplinary bringing a wide range of legal policy advocacy and strategic advisory skills to our clients transactions. Our health care transactions and regulatory team assists with the structuring and negotiation of transactions provides strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues implements a variety of contractual arrangements and counsels clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the health care industry. The practice is fastmoving cuttingedge and dynamic with opportunities to develop close relationships with many of the most significant players in the health care industry.

We serve a wide range of clients that includes hospitals and health systems; medical groups and independent physician associations; longterm and postacute care providers; health centers; managed care plans and insurers; integrated riskbearing platforms; life sciences companies; medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers; pharmacy chains; nursing homes; regional health information organizations; telehealth and digital health companies; other health care technology providers; and a variety of health care industry vendors.

The base annual pay range for this role is between $330000 $365000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications experience location and will also take into account internal equity. Additional medical financial and/or other benefits will be offered dependent on the position.

Qualifications

• At least six years of strong health care transactional experience including mergers and acquisitions private equity transactions and joint ventures for health care stakeholders
• Strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends and a strong health care regulatory background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail; excellent legal research and analytical skills
• Effective and efficient problemsolving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
• California Bar membership in good standing.
