Sustainly Ventures an earlystage VC firm focused on ClimateTech is based in Miami Florida and is currently in the process of launching.
We partner cofound and build global tech companies that aim to disrupt decarbonization in the energy mobility and building sectors. We invest in innovative solutions that drive sustainable living and accelerate the transition to a zerocarbon future.
Tasks
The Board provides governance and strategic guidance to Sustainly Ventures working in close cooperation with its Executive Director. The Boards specific responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic guidance and advisory to the Board of Directors and executive management team of the venture studio firm focused on ClimateTech space
- Offer expertise and insights on the latest trends technologies and market opportunities within the ClimateTech industry
- Assist in identifying potential investment opportunities and evaluate their viability and alignment with the firms goals and objectives
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and refine the firms longterm vision mission and strategic plans
- Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
- Participate in board meetings provide input on key decisions and offer recommendations based on industry knowledge and experience
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders including investors partners and industry experts to enhance the firms network and reputation
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies research findings and policy developments in the ClimateTech space and provide thought leadership to drive innovation and growth within the firm
- Mentor and support the executive team in their professional development and help cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization.
Requirements
We are currently recruiting candidates to fill two to four vacancies. Candidates are not required to have previous Board experience although those who do will be prioritized. Ideal candidates will possess the necessary expertise and experience to contribute in one of the following areas:
- Successful Tech Founder
- University Professor
- Institutional Fundraiser (public corporate foundations etc.)
- Governmental Expert
- Attorney
- Technical/Product Development
- Climate Tech Product Expert
- Climate Tech Revenue Expert
Board meetings occur once a quarter in January March June and October. Meetings take place on Zoom.
