Platform Engineer

Your IT Recruiter is looking for a Platform Engineer for our client.

This position will be working as Platform Engineer for one of its top clients John Deere located in Moline IL. This role requires technical expertise in cloud web application design and development.

The candidate will be responsible to help the team move towards infrastructure as a code. Work with the team s Infrastructure Engineers to find innovative ways to focus on creating a Digital Workspace Platform to be consumed by other Infrastructure Engineers.

Requirements

Must haves:

Experience in the design development testing and integration/deployment of highly complex software solutions leveraging DevOps concepts

Experience with Rest APIs

2 years of experience in relational (PostgreSQL MSSQL) and nonrelational (NonSQL: MongoDB Apache Cassandra Redis Couchbase Apache HBase) databases

2 years of experience with Git

2 years of experience using scripting languages Javascript (Node.js) Python PowerShell

Experience with configuration management tools (Ex: Ansible Terraform Puppet and Salt)

Must have good problemsolving skills

Demonstrated passion for technical learning and identifying areas for innovation

Basic Qualifications : BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field rom an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Academic or professional experience using Java, C, C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Desired skills : Working on cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test). FACE, Data Modelling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) - Cameo or Rhapsody, SysML, DOORS, ICD/IRD/IDD. Design Assurance, System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software. Strong verbal and written communication. Familiarity or Experience with any of the following: o Data Modeling o SWF/DDE o CPL and UoP development, FACE o Cockpit Avionics, DO-178 o Air Data Computer, AHRS Integration, Civil FMS
