Job Summary
The Sourcing Associate responsibilities include sourcing FMCG goods at competitive prices from various suppliers/distributors. You should be able to build and update the supplier database and find alternative suppliers if the existing ones are unable to meet their obligations.
What you will be doing
- Sourcing suppliers and maintaining longlasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
- Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
- Negotiating price quantity and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Working with the team to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
- Working with team lead to assess quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
- Work with the relevant departments to ensure that costs remain within budget.
- Implement the sourcing and inventory strategies.
- Be involved in evaluating suppliers products and services costefficiency and quality.
Requirements
Special Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain or related field.
- At least 4 years proven Sourcing experience within a large volume distribution or retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook.
- A good understanding of sourcing methodologies.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Sound timemanagement and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Strong understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and best practices, such as consultative selling, solution selling, and challenger selling. Proven experience in sales enablement, Sales Capability, sales training, or commercial operations roles, preferably in a B2B or technology-driven environment.
