With Cam Tram joining the CMI family we are currently searching for a VP of Sales Inventory & Operations Planning to support our facilities in Pine Bluff AR Panama City FL and 5 units in Canada. Reporting to the COO this person will be responsible for planning and forecasting the execution with optimal utilization of the company’s assets and supplier capabilities to fulfill customer requests and shareholders expectations.

This position will lead to the deployment of sales processes and practices to ensure consistency and effectiveness of operations to achieve customer satisfaction and financial goals.

Interface and Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing with Customer Strategy Development:

  • Implement sales strategies translated from portfolio customerbase seasonality and Budget annual/strategic plans.
  • Primary relationship owner with assigned (and other) Customer Development Team Leaders and appropriate Customer Business Managers and Product Implementation/Engineering team.
  • Represent the sales team as voice of the customer/customer’s consumers during all planning/development discussions to include item velocity requirements shelving/distribution nuances (Components) special pack/display needs emergency requests customers tolerance for delivery time etc.
  • Translate various sales strategies to be executed by operations and suppliers.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing to ensure that activation plans aimed at demand pull/push tactics for innovation shorter lead times new products or other pull tactics for operations to be aligned to those strategies.
  • Codevelops rationale and recommendations for pricing structure ensuring the execution and delivery of those strategies.
  • Represent the customer/channel viewpoint to improve the effectiveness and competitiveness strategy.
  • Acts as the focal point between Category Management Brand Marketing teams Finance Engineering Factories and Supply Chain to integrate selling stories supporting category growth brand share development innovation commercialization and pricing support stories.
  • Plans all content for the annual Year Beginning Meeting National and International Sales Meeting Account Planning Meeting Business Planning sessions and other Sales meetings/events.
  • Oversees timelines and is responsible for providing Sales Account teams with timely selling tools and materials for product deliveries.
  • Regularly maintains and centrally stores changes to the forecast: Sell sheets specs documents product availability ship timing and Price list changes or additions.

Customer and Customer Meetings:

  • Attends and participates in customer line reviews (only if required) to support the Sales Account Manager to enhance sellin as needed.

Supplyside (Factories and vendors) focusing on Executional Excellence:

  • Work with Planning & Scheduling leaders to develop a strategic roadmap to mature the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and drive adherence to it.
  • Lead supply and demand collaboration ensure capacity planning product commercialization and demand planning work collaboratively to solve new business opportunities.
  • Embed structure discipline and continuous improvement into the SIOP process to enable robust efficient action planning and decision making.
  • Contribute to the monthly SIOP process by delivering a predictable reliable and crossfunctionally integrated plan that aligns with the companys objectives with a focus on balancing demand and supply optimizing inventory and minimizing leadtimes.
  • Assist in the SIOP process including scheduling meetings coordinating content input preparing the meeting deck capturing action items and issuing meeting minutes.
  • Actively engage all stake holders to balance expectations with SIOP performance.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Procurement and Logistics to ensure sufficient capacity exists in the supply and distribution networks.
  • Recommend and drive planning process improvements motivate and encourage team members to improve communication with other departments and work toward constant improvement of key metrics.
  • Develop maintain and utilize a KPI scorecard to align performance with financial operational and strategic objectives.
  • Leverage analytics to provide timely data insights and recommendations to stakeholders throughout various areas of the organization.
  • Lead or participate in various special projects at the direction of executives to ensure value chain objectives are aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required; MBA a plus.
  • 5 years’ experience in sales or planning preferably in a electromechanical manufacturing environment (maketostock and maketoorder).
  • Strong understanding of the business category and customer priorities and ability to use the planning process to find common ground.
  • Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Have demonstrated experience and success in project management.
  • Ability to work within a multilingual environment is a must; ability to read write and speak English French and Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient with MSOffice in the MSWindows software Excel PowerPoint Outlook and MS SharePoint
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles a Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process and familiar with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Previous experience with the usage of data tools along with customer data portals.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply business financial knowledge to support growth and to provide meaningful analytics.
  • A willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% is required. Having or being able to acquire a passport is required.

Working condition:

Expecting travel 25% among CMI and Cam Tram units.
