RQ07293 - Business Architect - Senior

Responsibilities:

• Develop enterprise architecture deliverables and artifacts in alignment with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practices.
  
• Utilize frameworks such as the Zachman Framework to design business information application technology and security architectures.
  
• Analyze information relevant to business architecture and conduct focus group workshops with stakeholders.
  
• Model business processes and capabilities at the enterprise and core business levels including capability models and architectural solutions.
  
• Provide project management for largescale complex and highprofile IT initiatives ensuring adherence to standard methodologies.
  
• Ensure project deliverables meet clients business requirements budget and timelines while maintaining compliance with OPS project management frameworks.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements integrating ITenabled opportunities to address business needs.
  
• Facilitate communication negotiation and consensusbuilding among diverse stakeholders.
  
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout project lifecycles.
  
• Overcome resistance to change and capitalize on supportive forces at all project stages.
  

General Skills

• Mastery of various methods techniques and tools for business architecture including but not limited to business functional modeling service lifecycle modeling business event modeling business process mapping and value chain analysis.
  
• Deep understanding of diverse business environments with a focus on government settings including familiarity with key business drivers in these contexts.
  
• Proven ability to identify and analyze business requirements ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  
• Knowledge and experience in leveraging information technology to integrate solutions and identify ITenabled opportunities that address business pressures and needs effectively.
  
• Excellent communication facilitation negotiation and consensusbuilding skills essential for effective stakeholder management and project execution.
  
• Demonstrated experience as a business architect adept at modeling business structures at both enterprise and core business levels for medium to large organizations.
  
• Proficiency in the Zachman Framework encompassing business information application technology and security architectures.
  
• Ability to advocate for and promote I&IT project management best practices ensuring adherence to standard methodologies for successful project delivery.
  
• Proactive identification of potential risk events and issues with the ability to develop mitigating strategies to circumvent challenges.
  
• Aptitude in articulating and prioritizing issues and risks at senior executive levels recommending mitigation strategies and employing effective change management strategies throughout project lifecycles.
  

Desirable skills

• Experience working within public sector or large corporate environments with an understanding of the unique challenges and constraints faced in these settings.
  
• Demonstrated experience in crafting enterprise architecture deliverables compliant with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practices.
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
  

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Proficiency in information technology systems and infrastructure essential for integrating IT solutions to meet business demands.
  
• Awareness of emerging technologies like Cloud technologies within the IT industry with the ability to evaluate their potential impact on business architecture and strategy.
  
• Handson experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables including models while adhering to established Enterprise Architecture processes and practices.
  
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills crucial for effectively conveying complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders and driving decisionmaking processes.
  

Nice to Have:

• Previous Public Sector Experience is an asset.
