About The Role:

Claremont Unified School District is seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to lead and develop a comprehensive multilevel dance curriculum that spans across two campuses. This fulltime position is uniquely divided with a focus on Intermediate (0.4) and High School (0.6) levels offering foundational to advanced classes. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic educator who possesses a broad expertise in diverse dance styles has a talent for engaging and motivating students across varying ages and showcases outstanding teaching abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive dance curriculum that caters to students at intermediate and high school levels.
• Teach foundational to advanced dance classes introducing students to various dance genres including ballet hiphop and jazz.
• Design lessons that progressively enhance students technical proficiency while exploring advanced concepts and choreography across different dance styles.
• Create an inclusive motivating and dynamic learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual and group needs.
• Organize and direct student performances and events showcasing the talents developed within the program.
• Collaborate with school staff and participate in professional development opportunities to ensure the highest quality of dance education.
• Engage with the community to promote the arts and the benefits of dance education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Dance Dance Education or a related field.
• Required credentialing in process or obtained.
• Proven experience as a dance instructor with expertise across ballet hiphop and jazz.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a comprehensive dance curriculum.
• Exceptional teaching communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for dance and arts education with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
