Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards
• Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Investigate workplace incidents and near misses
• Ensure compliance with local state and federal safety regulations
• Review and update safety manuals and documentation
• Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
• Coordinate emergency response drills and exercises
• Participate in safety meetings and committees
• Provide safety awareness and communication campaigns

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. OSHA)
• Proven experience in a safety officer role
• Detailed knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Ability to conduct thorough incident investigations
• Proficient in safety management systems
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
