Are you passionate and dedicated Want to inspire young people through cricketIf so we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking a coach to support the delivery of our Street Cricket programme. Coaches are on a fixed term contract employed through Somerset Cricket Foundation.

Our Street Cricket programmes are basedin Bridgwater Weston Super Mare Taunton and Yeovil. Each Street Cricket session is 1 hour.

Job Description

Job Title: Street Cricket Coach

Department/Group: Community

Reporting to: Community Development Manager & Education Manager

Location: Bridgwater or Taunton one session per week

Travel Required: Yes

Level/Salary Range: 1725 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To engage young people within the local community and inspire ongoing participation in the Street project.
  • To lead weekly cricket activity.
  • Able to produce exciting and engaging plans for weekly cricket activities which are relevant to the age and experience of participants and link to previous activities.
  • To act as a role model for participants during the session.
  • To develop a rapport with key personnel from other organisations such as venue/site staff amongst others.
  • To support Somerset Cricket Foundation in completing attendance records and registration forms.
  • To develop and maintain a positive image and reputation for Somerset Cricket Foundation and Chance to Shine.
  • To adhere to all relevant Somerset Cricket Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Helping identify other potential activity leaders particularly as you leave or withdraw from offering support.

Knowledge skills and experience required:

Essential

  • Core Coach or Foundation Coach
  • ECB Enhanced DBS
  • Safeguarding Young Cricketers and First Aid certificate
  • Ability to get to sessions independently as some locations arent accessible via public transport
  • Excellent communication organisation and planning skills
  • Efficient time management
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to monitor and record participation data Data inputting experience
