Senior Business System Analyst (API)

We are currently looking for a Senior Business System Analyst for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

Understand the big picture to define business capabilities and formulate a forward roadmap.
Analyze and delineate user needs translating them into requirements/epics/user stories/data mapping documents.
Analyze and document the impact of future development on systems processes procedures and clients emphasizing the interconnections between processes and systems across the organization.
Generate and/or provide input for internal and external communications and user documentation.
Review and offer feedback on business and technical documentation.
Support the business in the implementation of developed solutions with a focus on endtoend validation.
Serve in an advisory role and provide coaching/mentoring for Business & Systems Analysts.

What you will need to succeed:

University degree in business or technology or equivalent experience.
5 to 10 years of progressive experience as a Business & Systems Analyst.
Proficiency in waterfall and agile methodologies.
Experience in supporting customerfacing operations is preferred.
Experience working with clientfacing technologies and digital engagement platforms.
Knowledge of and experience with Payout products is a strong asset.
Experience in transformational system work including transitioning from legacy systems to modern systems.
Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Experience with data and integration modeling.
Experience with business case development and modeling.
Demonstrated knowledge of business and/or technology platforms or ability to quickly learn about technology and digital products.
Strong understanding of privacy compliance control and security requirements.
Proficiency in test execution and understanding outcomes.
Knowledge of Design Thinking principles.
Familiarity with the financial services industry is beneficial.
Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) is an asset.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts and align the organization on decisions clearly and succinctly.
Ability to collaborate and demonstrate cooperation in a matrixed team environment.
Excellent multitasking prioritization and time management skills.
Comfort in ambiguous situations.
