Software Engineer - Ruby Developer

Job Title: Software Engineer Ruby Developer
Location: Alexandria Virginia (with potential for remote work flexibility)
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a T3/Secret clearance (Mandatory)

Responsibilities:
Collaborate in an agile environment using pair programming and testdriven development (TDD) methodologies to deliver highquality code.
Ruby Development expertise
Partner with team leads fellow developers and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant software solutions.
Rigorously test and deploy applications ensuring they meet stringent security and performance standards.
Analyze existing systems and provide recommendations for upgrades optimizations and new system installations in alignment with requirements.
Actively contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle from design and development to deployment and maintenance.

Qualifications:
US Citizenship (Mandatory)
Ability to obtain a T3/Secret Security Clearance (Mandatory)
Minimum of 5 years of handson experience in software development.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or additional equivalent experience).
CompTIA Security certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Demonstrated expertise in the following technologies: Ruby React GraphQL and PostgreSQL (Equivalent tech stack may be considered)
Experience working with project management tools like Jira and Confluence
Proven proficiency in Git version control.
Strong track record of successful collaboration within distributed agile teams.
Familiarity with cloud development environments (AWS Azure etc.)
Indepth understanding of secure coding practices and secure software development principles.
