Position Overview

The faculty member will be involved in delivering excellent patient care teaching residents and medical students and conducting highquality research in the field of Cornea within the Department of Ophthalmology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowshiptrained in Cornea
  • Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia by the time of appointment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in patient care
  • Strong commitment to teaching and mentorship
  • Proven track record of research and scholarship in Ophthalmology
  • Appointment rank (instructor/assistant/associate/full professor) will be determined based on the candidates academic accomplishments and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care in the field of Cornea
  • Teach and mentor residents and medical students
  • Engage in highquality research and scholarly activities
  • Contribute to the departments growth and development in both clinical and academic areas
