Job Description

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Start Date: Immediate Start End of School Year

Work Hours: Up to 37.5 hours.

Caseload: 1 school site; up to 50 students


We are looking for a fresh face to occupy our SLP or SPLA opening to complete the school year. This will be an onsite position located near Englewood FL.


We are partnering with a wellrespected School District near Englewood FL that is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly positive and professional environment and work in a fastpaced setting. The client is seeking a candidate available for fulltime hours. They would prefer someone with previous School Early Childhood or Pediatric Experience. The schedule will be 7.5 Hour Days Monday through Friday.


What we are looking for:


Experience working with students with behavioral and physical health diagnoses.

Ability to manage stressful and sometimes challenging situations.

Skill in documentation.

Knowledge of various treatment types and modalities using evidencebased practice.


Job Details:


Assess and provide treatment to students in groups and/or 1:1s.

Develop plan and prepare comprehensive active treatment groups and individual treatment strategies for student caseload using OT evidencebased practice.

Document student progress on a weekly basis.

Update treatment plans in a timely manner.

Provide consultations as needed.

Supervise occupational therapy assistant(s) intern(s) and/or student(s).

Contribute to continuous quality improvement.



Requirements

(1) Bachelor s Degree and or Master s Degree from an accredited educational institution.
(2) Certification in Speech / Language Pathology by FLDOE and/or licensure in Speech / Language Pathology by the state of Florida Department of Health Professional Regulations.
