About the Opportunity:
FedTec a dynamic and growing company is currently in search of a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of finance while gradually taking ownership of the accounting function over time. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles financial analysis and regulatory compliance. They will play a key role in driving financial performance and providing strategic insights to support our business objectives. Position: Senior Accountant Government Contracting
Work Location: Reston VA
Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of the AP and AR functions for the company
- Assisting in contract set up and closeout processes
- Full Charge of all general ledger transactions.
- Government contracting experience required
- Prepare monthly financial statements for a growing government contractor
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for the company
- Assist with Audit processes and income tax return processes.
- Other Accounting projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience within Government Contracting.
- Minimum of five years of Deltek Costpoint experience required timesheets labor distribution payroll journals customer invoicing vendor payments vendor employees etc.
- Experience in working in a multiple entity accounting environment.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle large volumes of accounting transactions efficiently.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fastpaced environment
- Attention to details
- Very organized
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment
- Certified Public Accountant a plus.
Work Schedule:
9am5pm Monday to Friday.
