Cypress automation tester

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to define and implement automated test scenarios using Cypress.
• Develop maintain and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Cypress.
• Analyze test results and communicate findings to the relevant teams.
• Identify and report software defects to assist in troubleshooting and resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodologies.
• Participate in test planning estimation and scheduling activities.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective test coverage.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on test scripts developed by peers.
• Stay updated with the latest Cypress features and best practices to optimize test automation processes.
• Document test cases and test results and maintain test artifacts.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in automated testing using Cypress for web applications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript programming.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to analyze complex software systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML CSS and DOM.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
• Detailoriented with a focus on delivering highquality work.
• Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB) is a plus.
• Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts is desirable.
• Understanding of crossbrowser compatibility testing is a plus.
